The Range Rover Classic is a 4x4, mid-size Sport utility vehicle series produced from 1969 to 1996.
Introduced to the public in June 1970, the new "Range Rover" was launched as "A Car For All Reasons", boasting a top speed of around 100 mph (160 km/h), a towing capacity of 3.5 tons, spacious accommodation for five occupants, hydraulic disc brakes on all wheels, and a groundbreaking four-speed, dual-range, permanent four-wheel drive system.
To much critical acclaim, it appeared that Rover had succeeded in their goal of making a car equally capable both on and off-road – arguably better in both environments than any other four-wheel-drive vehicle of its era. With a top speed of 95 mph (153 km/h) and acceleration from a standstill to 60 mph (97 km/h) in less than 15 seconds, performance was stated as being better than many family saloon cars of its era, and off-road performance was good, owing to its long suspension travel and high ground clearance. The MY 1995 Classic Range Rovers would reduce the 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 km/h) time to around 11 seconds, and increase the top speed to approximately 110 mph (180 km/h).
Notable off-road feats were winning the four-wheel drive class in the first Paris-Dakar Rally in 1979 and 1981.
The 'Turbo D' model, with 2.5 L was introduced in 1989. The VM engines were highly advanced and refined diesel engines for their time but were received poorly by the UK press due to their inconsistent torque delivery compared to the V8 models. To counter these criticisms Land Rover used a Turbo D Range Rover to set several speed and endurance records for diesel vehicles during 1987, including a continuous run over 24 hours at over 100 mph (160 km/h). The VM were replaced by Land Rover's own 200Tdi turbocharged diesel engine in 1992 and 300Tdi at the end of 1994.

The Land Rover Range Rover Classic 300 TDi was known for its ruggedness and off-road capabilities, but it was also surprisingly refined and comfortable on the road.

It was a significant car in the history of Land Rover, and it remains a beloved icon of British automotive design and engineering. Its rugged and capable design has inspired countless other off-road vehicles, and it is still prized by off-road enthusiasts all over the world.

The car's engineering and design have also influenced many subsequent Land Rover models, including the Land Rover Defender and the Range Rover Sport. It has also been featured in countless movies and TV shows, cementing its status as a cultural icon.

The Land Rover Range Rover Classic 300 TDi is a true icon of off-road automotive history, and its legacy lives on to this day. Its rugged and capable design, combined with its refined on-road performance, make it a unique and beloved vehicle that is still prized by enthusiasts around the world. Whether you are a fan of off-road vehicles or simply appreciate excellent engineering and design, the Land Rover Range Rover Classic 300 TDi is a car that is well worth experiencing.

-Major rust repairs were done, sections of the driver and passenger floors have been replaced, along with the right rear inner wheel arch. Some minor surface rust is still present on the undercarriage, but it is like nothing. Primer and undercoating has been applied afterwards.
-Whole chassis is cavity waxed from the inside

-All new brake disc+pads all around. Flexi hoses front.
-All new wheel bearings, panhard bushings. New steering damper, Ball joints, rear support rubber and bearings, front and rear stabiliser bushing, etc. Invoice available.
-All new rubber hoses for the heating system
-All new hoses for the breather system
-EGR deleted, new intake pipes, but i hand over the old one for the emissions testing.
-Timing belts changed at 220.000 Km.
-Light switch overhauled

-EGR deleted, but i hand over the old one for emissions testing
-Led dome light

-Some minor dents are present, but overall the paint is in a really good condition, as the whole car. There is absolutely no structural rust.
-The left side of the driver seat is ripped and the 2nd synchro is a little bit worn. Also, see the two pictures, where minor paint flaws are shown.
-Slight oil drip from the engine bay, 1-2 drop/few days
-Has factory AC installed, but it needs checking

These are all the imperfections about the chassis, but considering that this is a 1994 car, the condition is extremely good. The seller also deals with car restorations, so if the buyers wish is to go along that route, he would be more than happy to help with that.

Actual service (February 2023):

-New water pump
-New tensioner
-New tensioner bearing
-New V-belt

Will be handed over with a fresh oil change.

Last auction result of the same car model was 23.585 EUR including premium on the 11th of January 2023.
